libblacs-mpi-dev software package provides Basic Linear Algebra Comm. Subprograms - Dev. files for MPI, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libblacs-mpi-dev
libblacs-mpi-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libblacs-mpi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libblacs-mpi-dev *
You will get with libblacs-mpi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
